The theme for the 2016 National Children's Day was to highlight and celebrate the Rights and Freedoms of the Child.

Children's Place Foundation teamed up with our partner nurseries, Children's Place Day Nurseries who have settings, across West Yorkshire to host our own National Children's Days throughout May to celebrate all children from around the world.

Throughout the dedicated days each nursery enjoyed a Rainbow Walk around their gardens, where they found objects to match their colour cards; they share the book 'my world your world' byMelanie Walsh and spent time listening to traditional music from different cultures.

Every child had a wonderful time exploring the lives and cultures of other children, exercising their right to play and learn together!
