An exciting opportunity for practitioner’s to explore strategies, and consider good practice and theory in order to support young children’s behaviour. This interactive and thoughtful session will give early years practitioners the opportunity to work with colleagues from a variety of settings to consider how we can best support a range of behaviours in under-fives.
The session will cover topics such as biting, the influences on behaviour, and the latest findings about brain development (neuroscience). The morning will be facilitated by Debbie Garvey, and based on Debbie’s third book ‘Nurturing Personal, Social and Emotional Development in Early Childhood: A Practical Guide to Understanding Brain Development and Young Children’s Behaviour’ which is due to be published, by Jessica Kingsley Publishers Ltd, in the Autumn. This session will offer practitioners a unique opportunity to explore some of the content in Debbie’s latest book and consider how this can be applied to early childhood practice.
